She is co-director at the Center for Health Policy and Media Engagement at George Washington University School of Nursing. She is co-founder and co-director of the Center for Health Media and Policy. Glickstein co-produces and hosts HealthCetera, a weekly program on public radio. She views her radio program as a public health practice, providing ongoing coverage of issues that make a difference in our everyday lives. She is committed to putting a human face on important social issues.
She has trained national leaders in healthcare on how to be a media maker in both traditional and digital media to advance the health of the public and public policy.
Glickstein serves as Chair of the Board of Project Kesher, a women’s advocacy organization creating sustainable change in building civil society in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Georgia. She was selected to join The New Agenda‘s Think Tank – an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls by bringing about systemic change in the media, at the workplace, at school and at home. She also served on the board of Not In Our Town, a non-profit media company that combines television, internet and web resources with outreach and organizing efforts in the areas of workplace issues; race, diversity and the battle against intolerance; and encouraging democracy and citizen participation.
She was a co-founder of the Continuum Center for Health and Healing. She has produced programming for Martha Stewart Radio and completed a Progressive Women’s Voices fellowship with the Women’s Media Center in 2009.
