Baby Steps: Transitioning from the NICU to Home

Every parent looks forward to the day their baby will be discharged from the NICU, but having the baby home is going to present a new set of challenges and be stressful for parents.

Dr. Danielle Sarik is the Director of Nursing Research at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in South Florida. She is the co-Principle Investigator of Baby Steps, a nurse-led telehealth support model that supports equitable access to the transition of care services for NICU patients and caregivers.
