Climate Change and the Increase in Wildfires

Climate change is ensuring that the unprecedented scale of the wildfires in Canada, Hawaii and elsewhere are likely to continue. The short-term and long-term effects of wildfire smoke on human health can be significant. Diana J. Mason, PhD, RN, talks about some of these effects with Naseem Miller, the senior editor for health at The Journalist’s Resource, an open access online publication for journalists created by the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.
