The United Nations’ Conferences of the Parties, or “COP” for 2023 closed after two weeks of contentious discussions about the best way forward to reduce global warming and rein in climate change. HealthCetera in the Catskills host Diana Mason, PhD, RN, talked with Kasey Bellegarde, MPH, RN,  a public health nurse and Design Specialist with Ariadne Labs, a health system innovation center at the Harvard School of Public Health. Bellegarde is completing her doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, where her dissertation focuses on the relationship between human health and the health of the planet. She has been involved in local, national and international climate advocacy efforts including attending the annual UN climate summit as a delegate the past several years, and co-chairing the American Nurses Association Innovation Advisory Committee on Planetary and Global Health.
