Health Literacy

Health literacy is the ability to find, understand, and use health information. It’s a critical factor in our ability to manage our own health and health care, but too often, health care providers don’t fail to consider someone’s health literacy when discussing health information. HealthCetera Correspondent and Public Health Nurse Barbara Glickstein, RN, MPH, FAAN, interviewed Carla Stanley, BSN, RN, FACHE, about this important topic. This program first aired on HealthCetera in the Catskills on WIOX Radio on April 12, 2023.
