HealthCetera is a media platform providing evidence-based news, analysis, and commentary by diverse, dynamic, front-line experts discussing the latest real-world effects of health care and health policy. HealthCetera includes a blog, radio programming, and a podcast.

We believe journalism has an inherent role in promoting a healthy and just society. Senior producers and hosts along with a talented team produce HealthCetera.

Diana Mason
Diana Mason Founder

Diana J. Mason, PhD, RN, FAAN is the Senior Policy Service Professor for the Center for Health Policy and Media Engagement at George Washington University School of Nursing. She is Professor Emerita and Co-Director of the Center for Health, Media, and Policy at Hunter College, City University of New York, where she was the inaugural Rudin Professor of Nursing until 2016. Megan Lasersohn Website Manager

Megan Lasersohn is a project manager and website manager utilizing organizational expertise and technology to streamline projects for various firms. Megan contributes to HealthCetera by managing the website’s front and backend, social media account, and general admin.

Barbara Glickstein
Barbara Glickstein Senior Correspondent

Barbara Glickstein, MPH. MS, RN, FAAN, is a public health nurse, health reporter, and media strategist. She is the Principal of Barbara Glickstein Strategies, training healthcare leaders to be media competent to advance population health and public policy. Glickstein was selected to participate in Take the Lead’s 50 Women Can Change the World in Journalism and Progressive Women’s Voices at the Women’s Media Center. Glickstein produces HealthCetera, a podcast that provides evidence-based health news, analysis, and commentary. She serves as Chair of the Board of Project Kesher, a global Jewish feminist women’s advocacy organization working in Ukraine and Israel. Read more about Barbara Glickstein here.

Liz Seegert Correspondent

Liz Seegert is an award-winning, independent journalist who has written about health for more than 30 years. Her primary beats currently include aging, social determinants of health, women’s health, and health policy. She’s the contributing editor on aging for the Association of Health Care Journalists, and her work has appeared in many national and local media outlets, including Fortune.com, The Wirecutter, TIME, Consumer Reports, The American Journal of Nursing, the BMJ, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She also co-directs two fellowships, where she mentors and trains emerging journalists in aging and in health reporting. Liz recently launched “Menopause Matters: Empowering Women’s Health,” on Medium to bring evidence-based, trustworthy information and resources to women experiencing this time of transition. Robin Cogan

Robin Cogan, MEd, RN, NCSN, FNASN, FAAN is a Nationally Certified School Nurse, currently in her 23rd year as a NJ school nurse in the Camden City School District. Robin is the NASN Director for NJ State School Nurses Association. She is proud to be a Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Fellow and past program mentor. Robin is the honored recipient of multiple awards for her work in school nursing and population health. She serves as faculty in the School Nurse Certificate Program at Rutgers University-Camden School of Nursing. Robin writes a popular blog called The Relentless School Nurse. Eve Adler Correspondent

Eve Adler, MA, RN, RYT, YTRx is a registered nurse, registered yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and Qi Gong practitioner. She has completed her studies at New York University and Loyola Marymount University. She has taught integrative health modalities to patients in hospital settings through her work with the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program and the Penny George Institute.
