Mona Shattell, PhD, RN, FAAN and Melissa Batchelor, PhD, RN-BC, FAAN are two co-authors of a book titled Social Media in Health Care: A Guide to Creating Your Professional Digital Presence. The publication details the ways in which popular social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook can be leveraged by health care providers, community health organizations, and other health entities to connect with patients, other providers, and more.

On this podcast, Diana Mason, PhD, RN, FAAN hosts Dr. Mona Shattell and Dr. Melissa Batchelor for a conversation about their recent publication, how patients and providers can familiarize themselves with social media platforms, and the role of social media in health education.
